And a fourth. I got these from their Face Book page. They also have some really cool images of the P40 they restored and a Spitfire they are restoring. Attachments:

Is there any idea when it is expected to fly? Heck I'd even visit Auckland to see and hear that ;D

Here are some Stereogram 3D pictures taken of the Mozzie at Avspecs on Wednesday 21 Dec 2011. How to view the Stereogram: Sit about a metre back from your monitor Hold your finger out in front of you (about 1/2 way between your eyes and the screen) Try to focus on your finger as you gradually bring it towards you. At some point you will magically see a 3D image of the aircraft form in the middle of the two photos. This can take a bit of practice... If you wear glasses you might have to take them off to be able to view it. Attachments:

Nice to see her up on wheels.. & don't worry about auckland traffic as the papakura offramp is as close as you need to go.. i wonder if is there's a chance to see the old girl fly before she goes overseas??.. ( P.S. is it wrong to be mildly aroused???)

That answers the question about whether it will make Wanaka - definately not.

( P.S. is it wrong to be mildly aroused???) Yes but probably not at an airshow..............unless we can hang onto her til 2013 for Classic Fighters. Anyway the second restoration which WILL be staying here is coming along nicely too! See Glyn Powell's example on this thread: rnzaf.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Airshows&action=display&thread=15205

Anyway the second restoration which WILL be staying here is coming along nicely too! See Glyn Powell's example on this thread: rnzaf.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Airshows&action=display&thread=15205Per the article I linked to: But in the next six months all wiring and system checks will be completed, and the Mosquito will head off for a paint job that will take around a month. After further extensive checks the test flight will take place, using a local pilot.
... When it's airborne, it will be the first flying Mosquito in the world. The plan is for it to be certified in New Zealand before going on display at a special show planned at Ardmore, ahead of its delivery to the US. It will then have to be recertified in the US before it can fly in a show there.
Warren expects plenty of interest from the public when it appears at Ardmore.
"It will be a unique opportunity for people to see the plane. We're expecting that to happen in the third quarter this year."
