I flew as a Tail Gunner on B-17 Airdraft during the Battle of Midway\ Two B-17E Aircraft 41-9156 "Uncle Biff" 41-2415 No Nose Art Both planes survived Battle of Midway attached to 72nd Sq 5th Bomb Gp - later transferred to 11th Bomb Group and were flown extensively in the SW Pacific and Australia Area/ Both survived the war and wee de-miled at Hawaiin Air Depot in l944. Any one having pictures of either plane, would love to discuss LTC Joe Goeppner, USA(Ret)
