I wonder if that one is going to Sydney Skydivers, or further afield? (just noticed it's going to Albury so probably not Sydney Skydivers.)
Thanks for the updates Ykato, do you know if they have many more being assembled at the moment? I notice there hasn't been any mention of the talked about Russian deal on the PAC website.
Hopefully they can sell enough of them to keep ticking over.

I don't know about the Russia deal but it looks like the China deal is going ahead - I was down there last week and it looks like PAC are building another big hangar next to their present facility so presumably business is good.

That new building is not for aviation. It is part of the new industrial park and for the Torpedo marketing company according to the local rag.

A white 750 landed and took off today on Lord Howe Island just after midday, heard it then saw it from a distance, sorry no other details but took off and flew west to the big island of Oz.

I've heard that the contracts will involve a production ramp-up over a few years. In the first year they will build three aircraft while they expand the factory (maybe even some off-site facilities) then six the next year, then nine. Eventually they will be able to do 16 per year. Hopefully the market will increase beyond this contract while that is all happening.

Surely they're building more than three per year at the moment though, there seems to be at least one added to the register each month on average?

Only three this year so far. The latest one KCE was registered in August.

They have obviously had to lay off staff and ramp their production down somewhat in the last few years. Hope they can get it back up again to where it was, and maybe more.
The aircraft seems to be very popular in New Guinea (at least eleven on the register) and similar places.

Tuesday, February 5, 2013 Pacific Aerospace 750XL P2-SDC On or about 22 January the aircraft was involved in a fire during a de-fuelling operation at Goroka Airport. The engineer was badly injured in the fire and as can be seen by the accompanying photos it would seem the aircraft is probably beyond economical repair. mrcaviation.blogspot.co.nz/2013/02/pacific-aerospace-750xl-p2-sdc.html

The date is the 22nd, Tuesday. The engineer is recovering which is good news. He received 50% burns to his body.

The damage looks like it is all in the port wing, still a lot of aircraft left undamaged, so maybe rebuild the wing, new spar and a clean up and it would be good to go....possibly? Hope the engineer makes a speedy and full recovery.
