I don't know about the Russia deal but it looks like the China deal is going ahead - I was down there last week and it looks like PAC are building another big hangar next to their present facility so presumably business is good.
I've heard that the contracts will involve a production ramp-up over a few years. In the first year they will build three aircraft while they expand the factory (maybe even some off-site facilities) then six the next year, then nine. Eventually they will be able to do 16 per year. Hopefully the market will increase beyond this contract while that is all happening.
Tuesday, February 5, 2013 Pacific Aerospace 750XL P2-SDC On or about 22 January the aircraft was involved in a fire during a de-fuelling operation at Goroka Airport. The engineer was badly injured in the fire and as can be seen by the accompanying photos it would seem the aircraft is probably beyond economical repair.
The damage looks like it is all in the port wing, still a lot of aircraft left undamaged, so maybe rebuild the wing, new spar and a clean up and it would be good to go....possibly? Hope the engineer makes a speedy and full recovery.
