Yes Dave that's a shot of the early classicman Mk1 - more hair and less tummy than the later versions.

Don't have any other shots from the open day unfortunately - got a couple more similar ones but I was having some finger trouble with my new camera so they're out of focus. Here's one I took after the first test flight. Brett, I'd be happy to email you the photos I do have if you'd like them?

Hi All - I own Strikemaster 6730 and would like to get pictures, patches, stickers of either 6370 or when 14 Sqn operated strikemasters. If you know of any info could you let me know via my facebook page - stikemaster club. I have tried the RNZAF Musem but didn't get a responce. I can tell you 6370 is a fun bird to fly and I am very proud to have been a prt of putting the first blunty in NZ skies in 18 odd years. Hi Brett, Not sure who/how you tried at the Air Force Museum, however this contact is your man and worth a try for photos of NZ6370. CPE at Ohakea keeps photos/negatives for 20 years and then they go to Wigram, if I understand it correctly.

That must have been a very unusual job for Tech Wing. Neat shot Beags.

Just FYI - 6370 is now parked in the the same hangar as the L-39. This is just a short term thing whilst the P-40 is in the Pioneer hangar getting some work done.

Must pop in and see it in the flesh some time. Any plans for a repaint or is the old RNZAF coat still ok?

6370 has been moved back to the Pioneer hangar - it smelled too much in its temp location!! As for the paint - it is the orginal paint scheme from the RNZAF. The front is good, but the back needs work. I will keep the same paint scheme when it gets redone - but this is a job for next year. I want to fly it for a while and enjoy the girl! You must go for a ride Joe - it really is great fun.

hi all - just to let you know strikemaster 6370 did circuits last night at WP for the first time in probably 20 years. It was great to have 6370 at WP and great to reunit it with the RNZAF - I am very thankful to the RNZAF for allowing this to happen.
