Great video, I for one would love to see more of the same. That first left hand bank afte takeoff...the speed! Impressive! Awesome to watch and a wonderful insight into what it must be like to fly one of these gorgeous machines.
Hi All - if you check out my facebook page, strikemaster club, there is a link to some cockpit footage of some very average flying by me going from AR to WP and a touch and go at WP. It just gives you a feel of what the a/c is like to fly. Or go to youtube look under Andrew Hope page, Citabria70, and the strikemaster footage is there. Cheers

I just had a chance to watch this film. Wow, that is superb. Thanks Andrew and Brett for a chance to sit in the back seat for this flight.
Hi All - had a great flight with Andy Hope yesterday afternoon. Went to TG and did some flapless and glide approaches. A lot of fun and the controllers at TG were great - Thank you. Going back to AR through the Wahi gap and then a few a few aeros - great fun.
Saw NZ 6370 Doing multiple approaches at Tauranga yesterday whilst out fishing on the pontoons near the Harbour bridge.
That explains the jet I heard roar overhead while I was in Bunnings on Hewletts Road picking up supplies to do a few odd jobs around my Mum's house. It certainly made a lot of people look but I had an armful of goods so couldn't really wander out to see what was going on!
It was louder than most of the warbird jets but it didn't sound loud enough to be the Hunter so I had wondered what it was. The last time I saw a Strikemaster flying was when I was a teenager shortly before they were retired by the RNZAF. I haven't seen the Strikemaster since it's return so now I've heard it but still haven't seen it!
