Since the RAAF haven't found a home for six of their C130Hs, maybe the RNZAF should try and acquire one to mount as a gate guardian at Whenuapai. ;D ;D They could give it the serial number NZ7000

And now also appears to have Doug Brown's personal artwork from his No.485 (NZ) Squadron Spitfire Mk.V First two photos via Hamish Brown Last year I was asked by one of my friends who went to school with Hamish, if I could whip up some decals for a model of Doug's Spitty. BM199 OU Q I presented him with the artwork I had drawn up and was then asked if I could enlarge it to A4 size so it could be framed and presented to Doug on his birthday last year. and the original For anyone who hasn't read or got Hamish's book, Wine Women and Song, it's well worth obtaining a copy! Cheers, Pete M.

They appeared to have made a fairly quick job of putting it in place. I went past on Saturday morning... . . . and by lunchtime it seemed to have all been done.
