Heres another alternative: The toll road on Tauranga-hardly anybody uses it these days, and you'd get some fantastic speeds on it! We used to call it the Desert Road when I used to cycle it- you could ride almost the entire length of it without seeing a car! So that way theres no disruption to services, Right next to the port (for shipping the cars over) and I wont have to travel too far to see it!

I reckon Tauranga would be a good venue too. Mt Maunganui, the waterfront, the beaches, the nice toll roads

It would be a bugger for the drivers having to stop every lap to put another $2.00 coin in the slot though.

It might force Holden and Ford to put a decent steering turning lock on their vehicles

they should bring the V8's to CHCH. A street race, One way of getting the roads repaired. Plenty of room in the CBD now with the odd 5-600 buildings pulled down.

I don't mind the V8's being at Whenuapai but I would prefer a decent Airshow with some overseas stuff. ;D They could buzz the hell out of the anti airport woofters on the shore. I reckon the RNZAF should hold their show their next year instead of Ohakea. You would get a heck of a lot more people to it

Maybe they should do a thing where the airshow goes for 3 days with a trade day on the friday and with it being auckland if either sat or sun are raining as usual, then one day could be used as the airshow day . if you were real lucky ya could have 2 days.
