Love the 'water' effect on the ground, shouldn't really show that the airport has a severe water run-off issue. Could've at least put a 787 in instead of the old 744. I agree that the Domestic wing of the airport can really 'top-out' at peak time, actually a real pain with people milling around gates anxious to board. Extension very much needed. The hotel would be interesting, quite cool. Now to just get another regional domestic airline up and running...

On my last visit to UK we stayed at a Hotel at Heathrow. This is the view from the front lobby! That's Hatton tube station !

With the new “leaning tower of Rongotai” rapidly rising, it can't be too long until the old control tower becomes surplus to requirements and gets disposed of.
I wonder if it will be purchased by a developer? Or perhaps a wealthy plane spotter will acquire it.
It would probably be big enough to convert it into a B&B....for plane spotters, perhaps?
