What do you get for 19 million these days.
If I wanted a private business jet, a global express is probably more than that.
How much to get a new build Mosquito, maybe in carbon fibre and a few turbo props, or is that blasfemy on this forum.
A nice 429 chopper maybe
How much is a refurbished Harvard
I suposse I could get a whole Air Force load of austers

Just how much would it cost to get another one of those Mossies built to stay in NZ? I'd happily stump up for that and hopefully have some change! Could earn some nice coin taking passengers too! (Need a pilot tho-no way I could fly it-any takers?)
Alternatively... easily get some surplus jet fighters that would go down a treat at local airshows.

Well, that immaculate DHC Beaver ZK-BVR is only half a million, so that would be on my wish list, with enough left over to build a decent airfield facility....
Good ol' "Coloured Ball Investments".....

Jonesey, if you're starting from scratch with a Mossie you'll need to win it twice I reckon. But if you were to send some funds to Glyn Powell to help him finish his, he could have it up and flying much sooner for you to enjoy, and it is NZ based.

If it were me who won $19 million, I think something I'd consider doing is sponsoring a big warbird airshow, and the Gold Pass tent would be free and exclusive to forum friends.

Oh I thought it was going to an overseas owner? Yeah I'll flick him a "few" bob if I win, might even send you some too Dave...

Jonesey, there are three restorations to airworthy going on in Auckland. Two at Avspecs for US owners, and Glyn's own at Drury.

Wonder how much a second hand 747 is. Yes I know people have turned planes into houses etc, but how little could you get a 747 for.
