Thanks. What a great collection you have. The drowned Bugatti is an interesting model, what is the story behind that?

It is quite an interesting story. The car was originally bought secondhand from France by a Swiss architect but a disagreement with Swiss customs over the duty levied against it being more than the car was worth, led to it being dumped in Lake Maggiore in 1936. The car, and story, was mostly thought to be a local myth until it was rediscovered by divers in 1967. It was finally retrieved in 2009 and went on to auction at Bonhams in 2010, selling for £228,000! The model was completely scratch built by a talented guy in Thailand, using only photographs for reference.

Wow, what a waste of a car! It's a marvellous model, and all scratch built you say. Amazing.
