Has anyone got a photo of an RNZAF Sioux helicopter inside a Bristol Freighter? They apparently could be tansported inside the Bristol. I was thinking it must have been a very tight fit. I'd love to see a photo if any exist.

Nope but I did come across this one during the quick Google. This is another in that series of the crazy hat angle competition. The fellow directly in front of the camera has to be the Squadron champion, perhaps even the best in theatre. The two three blokes alongside him have made a pretty good effort also though. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bristol_Freighter_41_Sqn_RNZAF_Thailand_1962.jpg

It has been done Dave and photos are in the book Take Off..the history of Helicopters NZ...an HNZ Bell 47 was transported back from the Chatham Islands in a Bristol Freighter. The Bell 47 hovered and they unbolted the skids and the helicopter then flew onto a crate and the tractor backed in into the plane from there.
