Thought I would put one big thread together on the Tomahawk. Was a busy time with Classic Fighters happening at pretty much the same time so never got round to it. Not sure if it is a good idea for dial up users but thought I would give it a go. What I do know is sites like photobucket need to make things easier if they want to compete with the likes of Facebook, as it is so easy to upload photos there.
Finally, how lucky were we to have this aeroplane at Classic Fighters 2011.

A stunning collection of photos Gavin, and I think one of the best sets (or groups of sets) you've taken.
When I see the photos of the P-40C next to the P-40E, it looks sharper, slicer, meaner and more meaningful somehow. Before i saw this aircraft in the flesh i thought the early P-40's were ugly but now I love them. A real privilege to see come together and fly.

Great photos there Gavin
The aircraft has an interesting history - AK295. Came out of Russia and was 'rebuilt' by Tom Wilson in Georgia, USA for another customer. It's almost 100% new sheet metal but a lot of original components from several aircraft.
How do I know this - because I helped rivet it up back in 1997 / 98
Wings were built by Precision Aerospace in Wangaratta, Australia.
But Warren & his team did a wonderful job completing the aircraft - not trying to take anything away from them, just a bit of background - they built an outstanding aircraft and the result speaks for itself.
