I wonder how hard it would be to fit an AESA into a P3K2? They have them small enough to fit into fighters now or we could go with the system fitted on the Saab 2000. Take it one step further, if it worked with the P3K2s we could incorporate it into our P8s when we get them. Future proofing.

I remember the tv program Test Pilot and Steve Moore participated in it. His final project was to test and evaluate the Tornado which was pretty new at the time and found lots of faults with it. In my experience Test pilots and Flight Test Engineers find fault with everything. That’s their job. I reckon they think they've failed if they don't find something wrong with your modification
