It was a very interesting look at the conflict, amazing photographs and film. It was interesting to see the cross referencing from the old photographs to present day.

I thought it was superb! Detail was excellent both in 1918 aerial views and those today which added a huge perspective to the whole area.

Well I missed the first half and I'm realy bloody annoyed!
But the second half was great.
Beags, the NZ Tunnelling Company was involved in setting those mines and others like it. And there's a really excellent Australian film about these very mines and tunnels called Beneath Hill 60. Seriously, watch it, it's great and true.

I recorded it before we went off to France and Belgium, haven't watched it yet. I have Beneath Hill 60 on DVD, recommended. There are still a few bunkers at Hill 60, worth a visit (we did, photos once I've cleared a bit of a processing backlog).
Dave, if you are Auckland at some stage give us a yell, I'll keep it on the TV box.

Amazing to see the absolute devastation. Would never believe it is the same landscape today.

I've recorded it on the DVD Recorder hard drive. I've never transferred anything to disc from the hard drive so I'll have a go and then if successful will be able to convert it to an avi file. Give me a couple of days.

Absolutely fascinating. I had no idea about those massive underground tunnels and associated explosive mines.

Those mines were massive. 450 tons HE spread over 9 mines. I knew that tunneling happened and that mines were used but not that big.
