thanks for the photos was zk nan and zk nao used in the spraying??? Only ZK-NAN was fitted for the spraying contract in the early 2000's. A helicopter was also used, as was a DC6 from Canada (C-GHCB).

I was under the impression that the DC-6 was used on an earlier occasion (as in the year before). Click HERE and HERE for dated photographs of the DC-6.

Yes it was, and there were a few years between the F27 spray runs too I think.

The DC6 was used in the 90's spraying Gypsy Moth. The Fokker F27, ZK-NAN in 2002/2003 in West Auckland for Painted Apple Moth. It fell over on the night of 27th February 2003 at Woodbourne and badly injured itself. The spray gear was then installed in ZK-NAO which I think did two more spray programmes in 2003.

Is ZK BXF @ Woodbourne??? In that photo? That is Christchurch I think. As for it's fate, it was sold to Laoag International in Philippines and is now stored. onespotter.com/aircraft/ZK-BXF

Hi Zac, we published the NAC book in 2007 so a lot has happened in the last 15 years. We recorded BXG at Ashburton. It has since gone to Ferrymead. BXH is in a reasonably complete state at Wanaka and BXI is a pile of bits and pieces on the Chatham Islands.
