Was great fun, and a great day, though the traffic management was non existent  now, thats a mean looking shot, down low at treetops, ready to blast up another gerry train When I was working at ChCh Hospital about four or five years ago ran across a patient who was a 487 Sqn vet and he & I got talking. He fair loved chasing and attacking trains. He said it was safer down there than upstairs as he was quite scared of fighters. Which I think is fair comment. He was a great sort and knew the end was near. He had a really good sense of humour and not adverse to having a bit of fun even in hospital when he was quite ill.

Beautiful photographs of beautiful aeroplanes on what was a very special day. Where I was standing I saw grown men cry at the sight of the Mossie roaring by during its first fly past; no word of a lie. When I lived in the UK I saw RR299 fly at a number of shows, but never like this. Truly magical. Absolutely wonderful day - thanks to all involved in making it all happen.
