I would love to fly a Vincent given half a chance but the Hind is where its at I'm afraid, that would be a real highlight for the logbook. Having said that the Hind/Fury are a dime a dozen compared with the Vincent

Dave,
I can see from the Octocopter shot that I need to loose some weight. I'd be bigger if I spent more time over there drinking Tui !
That was a fantastic weekend for all we West Islanders. Such a magnificent Kiwi achievement all round with the Mossie. If it does not win Grand Champion at Oshkosh and Golden Wrench for Warren and the guys its a "stew"!
Many thanks for organising the Forum meet at the Subritsky's place. What a treasure trove. The Hinds bring back memories of working on the Demon and I would love to see one flying.......maybe Jerry picked up some ideas there. It was also great that the bbq money went to such a great cause. Wonderful hosts!
Looking to Wings over Wairarapa now and to Omaka beyond.
As has also been said, Dave, you do a great job with this Forum. Its a credit to you and your support team. The Dragon flight was well deserved.

Thanks Peter. I really hope we can meet up again soon, I really enjoyed your company. And well done on the great work that you and Peter Mac did with the microphones as our commentators and dinner MC's on Saturday.

I can only echo what others have said... It was a wonderful gathering and great to meet up with people as well as see the Subritzky's amazing collection. For me listening to John Beeching's recollections was a real highlight and a great reminder of what these aircraft were all about. The Subritzky's were wonderful hosts and my daughters had a great time at the event too.

I'm still really over the moon by the looks on everyone's faces when Jerry Yagen turned up. I had invited him ages back in an email and he was always keen but wasn't sure of his schedule, so I never mentioned it to anyone in case he couldn't make it along. What a great treat to have a private audience with him the day after the big public debut of his Mosquito.

Definitely a great event! Being able to see such rare classics as the Vildebeeste, Hind and Oxford was a real treat, and a number of us were playing "Identify the aircraft bit" with the goodies in the sheds. thanks to the Subritskys were generously hosting us. As Dave had let me know Jerry was on his waya few minutes before It didn't surprise me when he turned up, but I have to say it was great to have him there - he fitted in like one of the blokes and speaks fluent aeroplane (or is that "airplane"!) just like the rest of us. The world needs passionate enthusiasts like that. John Beechings stories of the Mossie were great too, but all the speakers were good. Its going to be a tough to top that weekend!

Hi all Dave thanks for the invitation to speak of the Beaufort - I hope in a few years to invite all of you over to see the Beaufort fly - you certainly wont see another!!! I really enjoyed meeting all the forum members and seeing all the other speakers was terrific. I really think the hero of the hour over there is Glyn though - he toils away in the shed creating multiple Mossies - all power to his arm. I was fortunate to visit with him and see his beautiful Mossie - I suspect that will be even more inspiring when it flies as like the Beaufort he is doing it himself on limited resources So Dave and Forum thanks for some unforgettable memories John

It was great to have you there John and to catch up with you again. In all the excitement and clamour of the day stupidly forgot to have my audio recorder set up to catch your presentation. When I realised I grabbed the keys and heded to the car to grab it and got accosted by a member who was clearly on for a natter and I got held up. When I finally got back and started recording I then got a phonecall and had to go out to answer it! So sadly when the WONZ Show is eventually put up with the Forum Meet guests on it, your talk won't be there. Really disappointing as I was fining it most interesting. We may have to catch up and do a show at a later stage by phone, if you're keen.

Very interesting pictures. The Vincent looks huge! How many Hinds do they have there and are they still for sale?
