To back up comments (made by people other than Gavin) on Gavin's Facebook post, Jerry's Military Aviation Museum collection is being sold. KA114, has been sold to Rod Lewis! I think that might be speculation at the moment.

Yes I have and apart from the confirmation on the B17 and Fw190 (on WIX) the rest appears to be speculation. The key Forum poster claim that KA114 has been sold to Rod Lewis hasn't been verified and nobody has backed it up because if you follow the whole discussion a lot of them are hoping some rich pom picks it up.

There is an extra http at the start of the link, you should be able to copy to your browser's address bar, then delete the extra bit at the start.

Try this link... s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=266010&st=0&gopid=2524297entry2524297 Edit... Some more information >> here << - comments from the Military Aviation Museum Director indicate they are open for business and no comments over whether they are planning to sell the Mosquito or not - all planes are up for sale (50 odd - not all at that location) but only some will need to be sold to square up some issues the businesses have (including several trade schools) - some of which may be sold as well. Jerry's heart is still with the Museum and the bulk of the planes and the staff there.

Wow, that went quick! Seemed like only a couple of months ago we were all at Ardmore admiring her shortly after this photo was taken!

There was talk on this thread about a commercial DVD coming out with some of the flights of this machine at Ardmore and elsewhere before she departed for Canada, did any such DVDs ever get produced? Yes I realise there is plenty of her on UTube, I'm a bit old school!

A couple were produced. One from Canada, and one in NZ.
The Canadian one is The Miracle of KA114, which you can buy from AvSpecs
The New Zealand one was put out by HAFU

I have the HAFU one, it's fantastic and worth every cent. Like their other recent output there's an option to turn off commentary.

OMG, has it really been five years? I was at Sydney Airport that day with many others waiting to fly over for the Mosquito First Flight Airshow. I remember racing around the airport looking for an internet access point and when I finally found it went onto Wings Over NZ to see the post that she had flown followed by another in quick succession with a pic of the gear retracting. Heady days indeed. And then there was the airshow.......... blocked freeways all the way back to Auckland !
