I think that scheme was pretty common on the desert Matildas actually Joe.

That colour scheme is called the Caunter scheme after its originator as I understand. It was current during 1940/41. The pale blue colour is a widely held mistake, it should be a pale grey green colour, it was called Silver Grey. They do make an attractive alternative to Sand or olive drab. Steve.
