Heya, Long time since I've posted on here but do pop in to see some very interesting posts from time to time. Thought I'd show you my playhouse project I've been working on for the last couple of months. Designed it on CAD and have been working on it tirelessly. Going to have slide out the back with ladders on each side, going to have perspex windscreens and windows. Also will be painted in camouflage....and maybe a water cannon mounted in the doorway ;D The kids can't wait for it to be finished !! cheers, Chris Attachments:

Probably a little big to be like an Apache or Hueycobra,...but could be like Mi-24. I'll see if the wife approves of air to air or air to ground missiles being attached...

Thanks all. Yup, a coat of lumbersider is going on it this weekend. Unsure on the colour scheme yet, whether it's desert camo or just simple olive drab.

Cheers, Joe @ ngatimozart - I have a Super Jolly HH-53 plastic model in the SEA colour. Did consider it but the Mrs thought the Olive Drab and dark green camo would be better. After all, she is helping paint it and has some say ....

make sure it has a grunty sound system to play "Ride of the Valkyries" on it as well.... Maybe strap some surfboards on the side

Thanks guys, I know what you mean, Diamond. It has been a struggle sometimes. @ Bruce - I did think about playing "The Doors - The End" at the wee fellahs birthday party but thought the lyrics "Mother, I want to kill you..." may not be appropriate......

But where is the tie-point for the harnesses and the safety net? And the bark ground cover and the locked gate when you keep them safely away from danger... surely this must be like a swimming pool and need a fence around it??? LOL!
We used to climb 30ft high marcracarpa? trees (and sometimes fall out of them), pine trees with a hut 15ft up, climb on the roof to retrieve balls, slide down shingle screes in the deep gully next to the house, get lost in our bush... 4 boys - poor Mum!!
Bl oody good build I say!! Except for the longeron in two pieces... sorry - just being a nuisance!

Yeah I know. I designed the longeron as one piece but stuffed it up as it looked too short so decided to extend it. I keep seeing that and may actually go back down to the Timber outfit and get a one piece length. Only problem is it will make it about 5-6m long and so is not that easy to transport on the roof of our car without severely bending !! I might also make the main rotor longer at some stage. I just worry about our Wellington winds breaking it with too much leverage on the hub. With Safety (yeah I know I have to do it),...when I get the slide and make the ladders,..I'm putting down rubber matting etc. Have to comply with the Safety Code apparently. Attachments:

Haha, the classic Eric Sykes comdey "The Plank" came to mind when you mentioned going to get the timber.
Aren't Air Force choppers all grey these days?
