Who hasn't flown in a 707 or a DC8? Me for one. Not old enough ;D Have managed the following though: Cessna 152, 172, 185, 210, 402, Caravan, Piper Navajo, Beechcraft Skipper, SAAB 340, F-27, Metroliner, HS.748, DHC-8, Jetstream, DC-3, Tiger Moth, Dragon Rapide, Jetranger, Hughes 500, Westpac Rescue BK117, B737-200 and -300, B747-200, B767-200, A320, A330. The fastest I recall seeing was cruising at 1000+kph on the in cabin display on the B747-200.

Similar to Suthg, had a delay flight from Melb to AKL and the pilot reckoned we had a mean tail wind. I can't remember the speed or the aircraft but I didn't think it was possible at the time. Twin engine Boeing at a guess.
I've done several 747's, 400's and earlier. Also F-27, DC10, pretty much any twin engine Airbus or Boeing from the last 20 years or so, Beach 1900D, ATR72 Cessna 172 (ZK-DRP), RNZAF Bell UH1.
More than I though.... still saving for the blunty flight. :-)

NZ5218 wrote Heh...thanks In a way it was a present as my first time in that model... ;D There has been a few posts about 747 speeds and cruising levels so here's a couple of shots from the last few days just in case anyone is interested... Heading towards Narita, top left shows Groundspeed and Wind, as you can see it's a mini jetstream... Out of Narita the next day,...slight drop in Groundspeed but a great view from FL430 :-)
