This is nothing new. The Germans were doing this in WW1 - note rear-steer (like an outboard motor on a boat)  And, of course, the Americans had to go bigger and better with Packard/Merlin power  |

Yes Brett the Vintage Aviator team at Masterton came up with this design to counter
the persistant Nor westers there .
