Good morning and Merry Xmas Everyone. Beautiful fine and sunny day here in the metropolis of Rolleston. Hope everyone has woken to a big pile of wrapped presents under their tree. Santa got in a sudden up draught and missed my place completely but he dropped a note saying he will be back for the Boxing Day sales.

All the elves, imps and gifting fairies made it through to Auckland OK. Only one missing so far is the good-weather God. Still, as we are having a staycation this year, all is well at chez flyernzl.
Have a great day everyone.

Yes Merry Christmas everyone. Didn't expect to get a present with a Forum connection but my clever wife bought me a book called 'In the Heavens Above' about the RNZAF Crew training in Canada in World War 2. Looking at it briefly I noticed one of the people who contributed: Dave Homewood (Wings over Cambridge)! Looks like a fascinating read too. Off for Xmas lunch at Teresa's folks then home to host my brother and his partner and Teresa's brother and wife plus kids for Xmas tea! Hope to gather more pressies!!

It's nice here, 23.8C and a nice cooling breeze, overcast but no rain yet today. It rained in the middle of the night till early morning which was most welcome.

Still getting the occasional shower here in Dargaville, after rain last night. We brought up duck and trimmings that we did lots of yesterday (did dinner for sis- & bro-in-not-law) to Mum. Have just had chips and dip served. Simple dinner, to be followed by fancy cheeses and stuff.

Perfect day here in Blenheim -- burning hot earlier ( great for starting drinking ) , but came overcast after a late lunch ( perfect for carring on drinking ). Think Im the only one still awake - including the " inlaw " asleep on the sofa ! Pikers !!!

Merry Christmas everyone, hope you all have had a great day.
My day started at 0 dark hundred hours when a very excited 8 year old bounced on the bed waiting for my wife and I to awake (she'd aleady counted through the stash under the tree).
Weather here in West auckland was soso, had BBQ duties at the inlaws, didn't get rained on.
Received a cool present, being Sunderland Mk5/MR5 ground handeling notes, with a stamp in the inside cover "RNZAF lauthala Bay Library 1961" -which is when my father was based there, how cool!!
Hope the rest ofyour festive day is fun & relaxing
Regards
Alan
