I was chuffed to get to see her in late December & to catch up with Andy. I planned my trip home to Hawkes Bay to include a 5 hour layover in AKL so a hangar stop at Ardmore & a visit to Motat were squeezed in
“A man may fight for many things: his country, his principles, his friends, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I’d mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.” – E. Blackadder
I decided to take photos from Avenger lane (SW of Auckland Aero Club), to be on the sunny side and not near where I expected others to be near NZ Warbirds. Great photos Errol, your brilliant and cunning plan paid off handsomely. Many thanks for sharing them with us here. Time for a well deserved beer I think. As an aside, does anyone know if Avspecs have been selling the latest version of their Mosquito t-shirt? Can only find expired links to their previous versions. Seems to be a few people around in the crowd in the photos wearing them.
