Gavin,
Awesome photos!!!
That 1st one is stunning - I immediately thought of a 487 Squadron Mossie flying down low to bomb Amiens Prison
As I scrolled through the others (all stunning/Superb)I started whistling the tune to 633 Squadron -oft played by the RNZAF band, (I know they did previously years ago).
Thanks for posting them.
Regards
Alan

Good work Gavin - ya jammy git Wondered where you've been without a leave pass from the forum but sitting in the worlds most desirable jump seat is a pretty damn good excuse!

Well done, Gavin. You know how lucky you are but what I really want to say is thank you for taking the time to share some of your experiences on here (and FB).
Time to start readying yourself for the next Mossie to get under your skin!

It's great to hear that she is so well received in the USA. If Americans are getting wobbly at the knees over the Mosquito, imagine how a UK audience would react to seeing one back in their skies.

No, the one about the restoration that was spoken of a while back. The HAFU one is bl**dy brilliant though!
From memory there were two or three video productions underway when KA114 went home, haven't heard anything of either other one since.

One of the films, “The Miracle of KA114”, by Sandy Thompson of Canada, makes its international debut at an invitation only event in Auckland next week.
Bruce Salmon is working on the restoration video.
My own effort covering the days surrounding first flight has stalled because of a few technical issues and also the market is a bit swamped with footage and info on the Mossie now. I will probably release it sometime, somehow. However I continue to work on the official book.

Dave, your efforts could be added to the book as a package for a limited edition/premium book/dvd combo.

That's a possibility, yes. I have to get both projects finished first, I have far too much on the go for both myself and other people!

Will update this page in a few weeks when I can posts some images of this Me-262 with KA114 flying alongside. I think seeing those two up close is the most amazing pair of aircraft I have seen flying alongside the camera plane.

Here is the latest Flypast cover, I think this is my 11th or 12th cover of this aeroplane with another one to come in America by years end, never thought KA114 would be a cover girl so many times. More of the Me-262 and Mossie in a month or so, question if do you stay or run?
