Hi all. I have posted some pictures of my Air New Zealand fleet in 1:400 scale in the 787-9 thread. I said I would start a dedicated thread here for anyone to show or talk about collecting. As I'm sure most of you are aware, it is addictive. Although there are two stores in NZ that I know of who specialize in selling these models, and I do like to support New Zealand business where I can, I typically get my models from the USA and Australia, this is fr several reason, mainly because these bigger overseas stores have in stock the aircraft I want and also price, currently, the same models are between NZ$15 and NZ$20 cheaper (Including conversion and shipping) to buy from either Waffle Collectibles based in the USA and Australian Aviation Center based in Aussie. There are also a few very helpful forums dedicated to this type of collecting Diecast Aircraft .com and Wings900.com seem to be the more popular forums. Anyway here are a few pics of my 1:400 die-cast metal fleet. Air New Zealand Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZE Air New Zealand Boeing 777-300ER ZK-OKM and ZK-OKO (ZK-OKR is on preorder) Air New Zealand Boeing 747-400 ZK-NBV Air New Zealand Boeing 737-300 ZK-NGM and Air New Zealand / Mount Cook ATR-72-600 ZK-MVB A fleet shot of my collection. If there are any models you would like to see individual pictures of let me know and please feel free to add your collections to this thread, I'm sure we have a few collectors among us. Jason

Good thread Jason although 1:400 is not my scene... too small for my dodgy eyesight so I only collect 1:200 airliners Will add some piccies in the near future, most of my collection is in a storage container in Chch but I have a few here in Perth.

I know what you mean, I have serious space issues, so 1:400 is good for that, I saw some 1:200 and they are nice, very nice, I would have liked very much to have walked out with the 1:200 A380 and the nice RAAF C-17 also in 1:200.
I look forward to your pics.

The 1 x C-130H and the C-130J-30 are USAF the other, (Cammo) C-130H is RAAF. I also have 1 x USAF, 1 x RCAF and 1 x RAAF C-17 I have suggested that Gemini Jets, the company which makes the majority of the military airlift planes make the following. RNZAF B757 RNZAF C-130 RAAF E-7 RAAF KC-30 RAAF C-130J-30 USN P-8 Airbus / Any air force A400. We'll see what they come up with, they are apparently preparing for another military release under the GeminiMACS brand, but who knows when or if they will do any of these.
