I follow these guys on Facebook. They recently ground run the Ceres topdresser.

It's sad to see so much squeezed into the hangar so jam packed and still not enough room for all those aircraft left out in the weather. They need a bigger building.

It's being worked on, Dave. It's always been one of the greatest bug bears of the museum but with the new 'management' (it now has a higher public profile and greater patronage AND more active work on the aircraft) things are certainly looking up.
Proud to be a member.

Yup, I'm also proud to be a member, even if I don't get much time to go along & help out, at least I'm helping chip in some $$$ It's well worth the visit if you're able to get to Moorabbin airport.

Good to hear guys. it sort of reminds me a bit of the MOTAT story, and look at how great that museum is now that they have come so far. I wish this museum equal success.

I am going over to Melbourne on Labour weekend and hope to visit the museum. What are the opening hours?

Great pictures of a terrific museum. I read your article in NZ Av News and enjoyed it. Great to see that your pictures are much like mine in that getting close ups of aspects of the aircraft indoors rather than the whole machine. The collection's expanded a bit since I was last there; the Bristol Freighter and Ceres used to be at Airworld.
