You know there's something seriously wrong with that Flug Werke thing with ten hours on the clock and such a low price. It must be like all the others.

75 years ago today F4U-1 Corsairs commenced operations with Marines Squadron VMF-124 in the Solomons. A bit beyond my budget but check out what Chuck Wahl's team at Vulture's Row Aviation are now capable of. One more option to recreate an RNZAF F4U-1A.

My trail’s gone cold on NZ5503. Has anyone got fresh news?
Meanwhile Chuck Wahl’s team is making remarkable progress on F4U-1 Bu 02449 and refurbishment/manufacture of components enough for six or more other Corsair projects. Check out new photos just posted on their FB page at Vultures Row Aviation. They’re based at Cameron Park, CA. which is just east of Sacramento and near to several other facilities experienced in restoration of radial engined warbirds, These include Sea Fury specialists Sanders Aeronautics to the south in Ione CA, (who are also restoring FG-1D N92GY) and Twin Beech and Harpoon specialist Taigh Ramey from Vintage Aviation, Stockton CA.
