I have been informed that the plan now for the rescheduled flights for Alan Peart and Jim Robinson is they are aiming for it to hopefully take place on Saturday 18th of October 2014, at Ardmore. Liz Needham tells me that they will aim to have the first of the two flights at 11.00hrs.
This is of course all weather dependent and I guess if closer to the event it looks like bad weather coming it will be reassessed then and we'll let everyone know then.
Watch this space!

Note that there have been a couple of emails from Larry Hill over the past couple of weeks to update sponsors. If you haven't seen them, check your spam folder.

AN UPDATE FROM LARRY HILL
Greetings
The flight has been rescheduled for next Saturday 18th October at 1:30
I am going to check the weather with the pilot on Saturday morning around 9 o’clock and I will then email everyone who made a donation to the flight to either confirm the flight or postpone it again (perhaps until the next day)
So those of you intending to come out to Ardmore to watch the big event shouldn’t leave home until I have confirmed with you by email that it is still on
The flight will leave from the Warbirds hangar.
Everyone is welcome
Kind regards
Larry Hill

As soon as anyone receives Larry's confirmation email on Saturday - either way - can they please post it here on the thread?

Greetings all
Unfortunately we have decided to postpone the flight again - the pilot has checked the weather and he felt that it was not looking good enough to confirm
I will let you know when we reschedule
I think there dis a preference to fly on a weekend day since there are a lot of people who would like to come and share the experience
Kind regards
Larry

Short video of Jim Robinson in the back of the Spitfire today.
The person in the back of 53 is a TV3 cameraman.

My photos weren't a patch on the regular pro's (Gavin, Colin, Errol, you know who you are) so I thought I'd do this for them instead.
Sorry about the ads, but I thought the music was just too perfect to not have. However that means the actual copyright holder then gets to say how YouTube places ads. (Rest assured I get nothing from those)

Just wonderful to see it all come together and happen so perfectly for these guys. A huge well done to Larry, Frank, Gavin T, JK, our photographers and film makers, and everyone involved! I wish I could have been there.
