This aircraft which happens to belong to John Travolta today, suffered undercarriage failure on take off from Perth Airport on March 6, 1965. At the time there was a photo in the local paper, showing the aircraft about to land with the undercarriage clearly damaged. I was hoping to get an original copy of this photo.
I will be contacting the newspaper on Monday to see if they have a copy. Given that this was 50 years ago, I may not have much joy.
Is any one able to point me to an alternative source of a photo of this incident?
P.S There was a happy ending.

Just as I suspected, the newspaper does not have the photo that was published on the front page.
It seems that they may not have owned the photo in the first place and as such do not have a copy.
They have 4 other photo's that they own which are available, showing other profiles of the flight, but not one showing as clearly the damaged undercarriage.
Anyone with any ideas as to where to start looking?
