Dave H
I don't know if you saw / heard it but what appears to have been Ryan ST-M (Menasco) ZK-BEM was observed flying westwards across Leamington at 1617 today (18 February 2015), headed towards Rukuhia (Hamilton Airport). It appears to have been in the area for a few days (repairs / certification?) as it was seen over Leamington last Thursday (I think - I didn't note it at the time as I couldn't believe my eyes and ears and thought it an abberation, and so didn't mention it here, but then, no-one else has either, so...).
Any details?

Not BEM, but ZK-ABC, Noel Kruse's beloved "Charlie", based permanently at Hamilton. Dave posted pics on his facebook page...

Bruce
Thanks; I wasn't aware of -ABC's residence in Hamilton, and it's nice to know that my aircraft recognition skills (and hearing) aren't as rusty as I thought especially as there are not too many aircraft with spats flying in New Zealand; very reassuring...

You need to start listening to the WONZ Show Komata, Charlie has been well covered there. The Ryan sounds bloody nice eh? And didn't it look great in the sun yesterday!

21 March 2015
FWIW (and to keep a 'running' track of its movements, for those who might be interested in such things ): ZK-ABC was seen over Leamington (Cambridge)from approx 1410 to 1425 on 21 March 2015 (Dave H. you probably had it over your house at various times).
As I said, FWIW. Trusting that this is of interest.
