ok - to partially answer my own question - latest photos show 2 sets of rudder pedals - nice! I had a great time poking my head in, but I didn't really pay close attention to the controls! I had the impression it was a T.III interior but I've never seen many.

I'd be interested to know if they move the 2nd seat forward, alongside the other one - wouldn't be much shoulder room....

Wouldn't hold much hope in seeing it at an airshow - I've heard limited flight testing only, then packed up and gone.....

TV959's cockpit is set up exactly (or as close as poss) to factory Trainer specs with the 2 seats side by side as per original. The Instructors seat is up next to the LH seat, shoulder to shoulder. Nice to see as there are a lot of differences in the wood cockpit structure to support the dual controls etc. I think she is pretty special as a TIII in her own right.

Even though there may not be a show to celebrate her flying I shall be heading across the ditch and camping at Ardmore to see her fly. I am sure that there shall be many others doing likewise.

They even have a camping ground there now too, if you have a camper van

My birthday is in the second week of August and I've got it booked off work, if the testing is after that then I'll still go up...if only for a day!

I know one loyal Avspecs employee celebrated his birthday by doing 9 hours hard labour on said Mossie.

I don't think he got much done today as he was distracted by a certain south Island Auster rebuilder

Two Auster rebuilders got together today and think we have solved a vexing issue the Avspecs lads are having with fitting Mosquito windscreens snugly. We both think a wonderful product called No More Gaps is what you need. Hey no need to thank us we will draw up the repair scheme paperwork, nip down to Mitre 10 and ship you this awesome product. This was all done over a cup of coffee so maybe you guys need to drink more.
