I see today we passed the 4000 member mark, with our 4000th member being the new member lizziecane.
What a large community we have become these days!

Awesome news. Now, we just need to convert that power into a crowd funding vehicle and buy something historically important to preserve for everyone to enjoy forever. (In NZ)

Excellent and good timing. Be interesting to see how the numbers are increasing, be it a gradual increase or around hot topics ie: Mosquito, major Airshow threads.

Certain topics have certainly seen "rush to join" periods, such as when Simon Gault announced Doug Brooker had purchased a Spitfire, Al Marshall began posting about the Bristol Freighter restoration, and the Mosquito thread too. But I suspect a lot of those who join in these periods are actually long time lurkers who read without joining. We have a few thousand of them too I suspect.
But generally it is a steady trickle and it has remained steady, several newbies a week for the past six or more years. I get an email notification every time someone new joins and there's usually one or more a day now.

Awesome news. Now, we just need to convert that power into a crowd funding vehicle and buy something historically important to preserve for everyone to enjoy forever. (In NZ) Yep well like I said there is a certain DC3 at Omaka for sale.... Dave could use it as an "Air Vice Marshal" hack.... Think of the forum meets then you could arrive in style.

No probs. Top Brass, then those that contribute a reasonable amount to the forum as the quarter guard..... ooops I think the Dak is now full, oh well.

Sorry but I would not be interested in purchasing that particular DC-3. If money were going to be raised for a DC-3 then my vote would be for ZK-DAK 'Betsy' to help keep her airborne and not let her become a worn out deaded hangar queen like the one for sale.

By my quick calculations, we should reach the stage where everyone in NZ is a member by the year 2163.
