In February next year the NZBCA/ MOTAT are planning a dedication service for the Thomas Frederick Duck display and hope to have many of the families of the aircrew attend. However we have been unable to trace any relatives of Alf Drew . He lived in Milford Auckland and was one of the early Wednesday Bomber Boys. Can anyone help out with a contact ?

NZ404560 & 75022 Sqn Lder Alferd Sydney Drew died at Beach Haven Hospital on 30 Dec 2006. There could be a death notice in a local paper that might lead to a relative? The funeral was arranged by H. Morris Ltd of Northcote. Also, the Air Force Museum hold his WWI log book(s), or a copy of same, and they may also be able to provide a lead? Errol

It took all of four hours before Alfs family made contact after speaking with the undertakers. Thanks Errol I must remember that "locator" in future.

Wonderful to see so many of the family there yesterday - all six families were well represented - it was an amazing day!
