I'm celebrating as Roden 2016 catalogue apparently has both Cessna 0-1 Bird Dog and 0-2 Skymaster models in 1:32. I want the 0-2 to turn into a Rhodesian Lynx but am also aware an aircraft flown by RNZAF FAC attached to US will also be possible.

Definitely keen on an O-1, 1/32 will give tons of scope for detailing. Great news!

I've seen no further announcements. One posting suggested a late 2016 date but I've seen no corroborating information.

Was the primary task shuffling generals around to cocktail parties?

Was the primary task shuffling generals around to cocktail parties? You expect generals to go to the cocktails ..... as Capt Mannering would say 'foolish boy' .... the Cessna's bring the cocktails to the hallowed generals

L.19A 01327 used to fly President (Elect) Eisenhower around Korea in late 1952......... thinks from my Squadron/Signal that it had a 5 Star badge on the cowling or fuselage. Guess his rear seat was a whole bunch more comfortable than all the others. He made a habit of that sort of this thing with a 4 Star marked L.5 (I think) and also did a tour over the area of the Battle of the Bulge (I think before the battle) in a modified P.51B
