I for one would like to congratulate all involved in this great publication, in this day an age I wonder how long it will be for the life of print media?
I love nothing better than grabbing a cuppa finding a quiet spot in the corner of my world and reading this mag cover to cover. I still remember buying my first issue with the shot of a Tiger Moth taken from above!
I subscribed straight away and still have all of the series, not only great stories and pictures but a history document as well! Even had the honour of having a couple of my pic's published amongst the hallowed pages!
Thanks you Classic Wings!

Yep, ditto here! I also have a copy of every issue. It's known that I go incommunicado for considerable stretches when I first get my hands on each current issue.
Keep up the good work!

Hi Guys
Just noticed this, so thanks for your kind words and your continued support. I should also thank you for your patience between issues, we tend to get caught up with the organization of the Classic Fighters airshow (planning already underway) and currently are heavily involved with the WWII hangar extension to the Aviation Heritage Centre, which is due to open mid year. Of course we should also acknowledge the help from many of you who contribute in one way or another, with the likes of Gavin Conroy and Dave Homewood himself among the many - all of which is most appreciated.
cheers Dave CW

WOW....has it really been going that long?
The Classic Wings shelf in the bookcase where I keep them is just about full.
I'll have to move some books from the shelf below soon to make room for future issues of Classic Wings.
And yes....every single issue of the magazine is stashed in that bookcase, including the latest one with the amazing story about the Focke-Wulf Fw200 Condor.

I have every issue from the first one too, and I still remember the excitement of discovering that first edition back in the 1990's in a bookshop in Chartwell Square, Hamilton. I recall my friend saying "It's too good to last..." which is so often the case in poublishing, but Classic Wings Downunder as it was then has certainly stood the test of time. It's always a great resource, and it's neat to know people across the world enjoy it and look forward to every issue. Another case of Kiwis (including ex-Aussie Kiwis!)punching above their weight!

I have just about every issue. Just missing number 2. I can't fit them in my book case as it is full and since I recently purchased a display cabinet for my models I can't afford another book case. Just purchased my copy today in which I see an very attractive offer for a subscription which I let drop a few years ago due to having no job only to be tempted elsewhere here by an offer to join the Aviation Historical Society. Don't you hate such a choice. Classic Wings is a bloody good magazine though. May it continue for a long time yet.

I think I'm missing Issue 2 and possibly 3...which are, of course, completely unavailable from Graham and co as back issues! Very frustrating for the completist!
My first ever CWD was the one with the Ishaks on the front, Dad bought it for me with one of Aeroplane Monthly. That was mid-1998 and I've been hooked ever since, and feel very fortunate to now count the esteemed Editor as a mate. The latest issue is superb, well done to everyone!
