Hi Guys, on the way back from Ohakea I stopped off at Hood to visit the TVAL hangar. Albatros D II; Albatros D Va; B.E.2c; B.E.2f; B.E.12; Camel; The One and Only Chitty Chitty Bang Bang; DH-4; F.E.2b; LVG C VI; Pup; S.E.5a; Snipe; Tripe; Overviews of the hangar illustrating how tightly everything is packed in; B.E.2c at centre; Avro 504K at centre; Like the t-shirts in the shop. Hear hear. Every time I go down there I feel so fortunate.
And to be the rivet counter: I think 347 is a BE.2c (Early) as opposed to a BE.2a, which is even simpler in structure (no vertical stab, wing warping)!

Aah, thanks Zac - no probs with the rivet counting; keeps us on our toes. Yes, Peter, couldn't agree more; terrific resource and still manages to amaze when I think about these machines and the fact that some of them now exist, when for 70 or more years there were none around, not even reproductions - the F.E.2b specifically; who would have thought that for nearly 100 years there hadn't been a complete one extant, and now there are two flying (with a static partial original at the RAF Museum) - in New Zealand of all places?

Yes the sooner they get their problems behind them and start building again the better. Certainly a magnificent collection and the envy of WW I fans around the world.
