Awesome video! Love the one white prop blade. Makes the prop disc very visible from the front.
Question for Corsair people. What is with the split rudder on the F2G? The lower section moves, but not always when the top section is moving.

I don't remember the when, where and exact why but at one race #57 had some sort of mishap necessitating a replacement blade. The "new" one was white, and I think it went on to win the race. That's the look the late Bob Odegaard and crew wanted to replicate with the restoration. I'll see if I can find the info. I was wrong: url=http://www.airrace.com/corsairs57.htm]The Society of Air Race Historians[/url] say that Ben McKillen "painted three of the propeller blades black and one white, which gave the illusion of the engine turning slowly". Psychological warfare at the Tinnerman Trophy?

Beautifully shot piece of film, it may be a "Super Corsair", but it is still a Corsair, of that there can be no doubt! Dave D
