Ex-RNZAF Bristol Freighter Restoration in UK

Several people have sent me reports today of the Bristol Freighter that left Ardmore recently now in the UK, and on the road to its new home at Filton. I thought a new thread to follow the aircraft's restoration would be appropriate.

Great to see her tucked in to bed for the first time in (?) years awaiting much TLC to be lavished upon her. Well deserved and well done!

Awesome to watch the old lady go home. Couldn't sleep this morning so woke up went downstairs did a bit of reading then checked Facebook and good old BBC West was doing a live video of the transport to her home. I noted another watcher was from New Plymouth, New Zealand and thoroughly enjoyed the live view of the occasion.

Great idea. We can always hire out Al Marshall for the engine side.......very nice of them to have the NZ flag along with the UK flag on the side of her.
