Damage to Air New Zealand plane not reported while in Nadi, FijiLast updated 07:35, January 11 2018 Air New Zealand said the damage was minor and was repaired (file photo). Ground crew at Nadi International Airport in Fiji have been accused of not reporting damage to a door on an Air New Zealand plane. It is claimed a loading platform grazed a door of a 777-300 over the weekend. It wasn't until the plane arrived in Auckland that the damage was noticed, reports Radio New Zealand. The Nadi ground handling agent is Air Terminal Services, known as ATS, which is in dispute with its staff, having locked 200 out of work. The National Secretary of the Fiji Trades Union Congress, Felix Anthony says the lack of trained crew means Nadi "is a place where accidents are waiting to happen". "We have unqualified people who are performing duties that they really should not be performing," he said.
