Well, at least Wellington no longer has trolley bus wires live with 600 volts DC (real good arching current) at the Evans Bay end of the runway, so that's one ignition source removed.

The recovery of this aircraft would make a great Story on it's own.I guess it is a write off? If not a very delicate recovery that would hamper the airport operation?
