At 1000 this morning, the Anzac Day Flypast over Wanganui consisted of one Spitfire and two Beech T6's.

Blenheim had the Anson and Nanchang in a tight smoky formation, low and slow.

Melbourne had 3 CT/4 and 4 Wirraway in a tight formation. There might have been another group after that, but I was only near the event, not at it (I was at Dawn Service earlier) and there were trees blocking the view.

Ohaupo just had those noisy twin diesel flying trainers from the local academy on normal circuits.

Typically Russell Brodie does the Timaru(?) RSA flypast in Tigermoth NZ1443, so I assume the same would apply today

Errol: I can offer a correction to your "Melbourne had 3 CT/4 and 4 Wirraway in a tight formation". Your "Wirraway's" were in fact 3 Winjeels and at the rear of the formation (quite tightly) was a yellow coloured Harvard. This group made several flypasts and the low cloud made sure they weren't too high!! The later group was a 4 ship "Roulettes" formation that only did the one pass.

Yes, I confused my Aussie trainer W names! I'd be impressed to see 4 Wirraways in formation, while Winjeels are somewhat more common. I've even seen similar formations a couple of times. Winjeels and CT/4s by Errol Cavit, on Flickr

Johnnyfalcon at Pleasant Point just out of Timaru we had four South Canterbury Aero Club A/C. Led by their Piper Cub then two Tomahawks with a Piper Archer bringing up the rear. Presume they did most of the SC towns.

It's got to be the photo of the month, well done. Judging by the photograph's aspect ratio, it would have to be cropped out of a larger image. I do that myself on a regular basis. Great shot though! I'm impressed.

There was a NH-90 heading East at speed about 4.30pm yesterday in Whitianga. Not a flypast as such but an interesting sight none the less.
And I got to see the Warbirds formation who kindly passed over Beachlands on the way back to Ardmore before I left home.

was a yellow coloured Harvard. And I think this is NZ1034 donated to the RAAF by the RNZAF?

Somehow I missed the Spitfire and Texan IIs, but later on I heard the Venom or Strikemaster departing.
Great to see so many different aircraft involved in different areas.
