Regardless of other Air Forces, what I meant is the operational aircraft of the RNZAF don't use fin flashes these days. Hercules and Orions, NH90 and A109 all have squadron symbols only. So I think any other operational type would follow suit.
The Boeings, King Airs and the Texan II's do have finflashes, but their flashes and roundels are both high viz of course.

Im wondering if the concept of a CAG special aircraft has been used much in Aus or NZ. That said I bet the CO likes to fly the special anniversary marking a/c if hes going to a airshow etc. I can only think of in very early days Aussie hornets being marked up for the CO that was 3 sqn who had a cobra mouth (callsign) applied to one a/c and the other being a top hat and cane for 75 squadrons CO ..the late Ross Fox. Look what popped up today...

Stunning schemes on the Aussie bugs. I finished up the art work last night on the RNZAF Supas to as far as I think is neccasary. Will post them later today. I have contacted a couple of printers to see who might do them so watch this space to see what comes of it.

Final is such a ...final word.

Final is such a ...final word. How about a nice disruptive mud/marine mover scheme,i'm kind of over greyed out. Maybe be in the future but this was just an impulse decision to create this art work. I’m a simple humble scale modeller in my spare time therefore I don’t intend to do this as an ongoing thing. I’m a Super Hornet hence why I chose it for this idea in the hope that one day there could be some sort of coalition force between NZ and Oz. So sorry to disappoint but I don’t intend to do any further work on this as I have began enquiringly about getting these schemes printed.
