You can't do a direct photo transfer Dave, you need a photo outfit like photo bucket or similar. There is a thread about this in the admin section, I have not really got my head around the subject myself. isc

You can't do a direct photo transfer Dave If you scan and upload to Flickr you can then copy and paste the BB Code directly into your comment.

Thanks Baz, I was trying to think of something other than photo bucket. I'll get round to sorting it out one day, I sort of got through on the C-180 page in the Ag section. isc

What exactly are you wanting to know about it Dave?
Also, you should be able to embed those links so the photos appear here on the page rather than the URL links. I don't use Flickr some someone else will need to tell you how.

I suspect the problem with the photos is that the link is https - ie a security link - rather than http.

Cheers, Chrome doesn't display http in the address bar (but does display https), so it wasn't there when I copied it. Fixed. Huh, the forum doesn't display the http either, but it is there, and works.

From the markings and the parachute bag it is a standard "chest" type parachute worn by aircrew in multi-crewed aircraft, Is definitely RAF from the AM stamp and other references.

Yes I agree.
Very common type, this is also the type fitted to a bracket the rear cabin in the Auster AOP-6's.
Nice find

We still had these in service in the 1990's in the RNZAF, used for small cargo drops. They may well still be used. All the packs we had were stamped 1942.
