I will be travelling to New Zealand (both islands) for research in November-December this year. The topic is for a book I am working on relating to RAAF and RNZAF participation in the Normandy campaign, either as squadrons or individuals. I already have completed a book on 453 (RAAF) Sqn in Normandy www.echobooks.com.au/biography/ready-to-strike/ or adamlunney.com/books/ and want to build on that initial work. I will be visiting the Archives in Wellington and the RNZAF museum in Christchurch but am looking for recommendations for any other sources of logbooks, ORBs, memoirs, interviews etc to assist. If you have any suggestions please drop me a line thunderchief092@gmail.com or post here. Thanks in advance, Adam

My book on 488 Squadron 'Gone the Dark Night' has just been published at Amazon.Com - 488 Squadron flew Night Fighter patrols over Normandy during the invasion while based at Zeals in Wiltshire and crossed the channel to use the newly installed Radar systems on board their De Havilland Mosqito aircraft. It was an interesting part of thier WW2 activities flying top cover at night over the beach heads and later covering the army as they marched towards Germany.
