I have recently read an aviation magazine comment which suggested that nine MB-339 jets from Draken International have been acquired by France's Secapem Defence Training Solutions to provide aerial threat replication for the French military. Are these the nine ex-RNZAF MB-339s we sold to Draken? I have not seen any mention of this transaction anywhere else.

Draken have had a couple of our old Macchis and two A-4Ns doing fleet support work with Secapem in France for a couple of years. Perhaps Secapem have decided to purchase the Macchis outright instead of leasing them off Draken?

Can you see a pattern emerging here? Marxist female leader gutting the RNZAF. I fear our C-130s will be deemed "clapped out" and sold off for a pittance soon. Then our military airlift will be outsourced to a third party foreign entity.

It would be interesting to learn what they dont tell her . I know that doesnt make sense ,but its in common with a lot that happens in Wellington.

The MB 339 are now French. They are operated by SDTS (Secapem defense Training Solution) in Nîmes for the French Navy.
