I would love to see a time lapse of the disassembly & packing of the Mossie, fascinated by how it fits in the containers if it travels like the last few, build pics of the next would be awesome too )))

Here are some photos of NZ2308/ZK-PWL on the ground at Warbirds Over Wanaka 2024. Untitled by Zac Yates, on Flickr Untitled by Zac Yates, on Flickr Untitled by Zac Yates, on Flickr Untitled by Zac Yates, on Flickr I caught up with Warren Denholm and Steve Hinton on Sunday morning and asked about the paint scheme, which I know has been the subject of much chat among enthusiasts. While I didn't think to ask Wal about the owners’ plans for the future of the aircraft’s paintjob, he explained the initial plan was to finish the aircraft in her original RNZAF service scheme but it was felt to be a bit plain. There was thought given to Trainer Yellow bands, but then decided on the D-Day stripes with red codes so it still acknowledges the aircraft’s history with the correct codes and serial. Steve Hinton said to me “It’s now part of the airplane’s history. We’re making the history.”
