flyjoe180 TUI is native NZ bird right? Thomsonfly is one of the TUI Group Airlines, hence 'world of TUI' label on the aircraft (just forward L1 door!) see www.thomson.co.uk for more info Hopefully now my post will make more sense?

Looks like it has an HF aerial (wire from tail to roof above flight deck) I imagine that would be taken out. I think Air Nelson have orders for a total of around 25 Q300's

mmmmmmmmm just curious about the paint scheme on the tail. I heard they were going to reveal a new paint scheme about 1 year ago, then I head that what they were going to reveal was a sngle colour on the tail instead of the teal blue/slightly green to look at at, blending into a darker blue. Ther word i heard that they were going to a single colour for the full tail. These new Q300's seem to be just the darker blue all over the tail. Am I right or do i need to clean my computer screen.

The Q300's scheme is the blended teal/blue but appears a bit darker. The koru also appears a bit shorter.

Colin, is that a Tu-154?
Yeah, you certainly don't see those round these parts very often! Did you know that was coming in, or was it a complete surprise to you?

Craig no it's an Ilyushin IL62M. www.airplane-pictures.net/image9587.htmlA little birdy let me know it was coming? No idea who is on it but should be in the media at some stage. MD11 UPS is here today too and hopefully I will get a take off shot when it departs if daylight. Singapore Cargo here too. Colin

Russia's "Speaker of the House" mmmmmm are they here to make an offer for the skyhawks, or sell us more nuclear subs to help Aucklands power supply. I can see a dozen subs parked up out in the gulf with these big power cords going into the CBT.
