As many new members ask this question I have decided to make a thread on posting photos a little more prominent (there is an older thread in the Information and Problem Solving Sub-Board too). This forum does not allow photos to be submitted directly to the forum as it has no hosting facilities. However there's a quick, easy and free way to place your pictures onto a thread. We recommend you get a photobucket account and have them host the photos. Now, member of this forum Robbo (Rob Leigh) runs another very good aviation forum and he's already written up a supreb step by step tutorial for you to follow. Have a look on Rob's site here forum.planetalk.net/viewtopic.php?t=433If after you follow all Rob's steps you're still having trouble, ask here and someone will try to help. Good luck.

You can also use thisForgive me if you have seen this before, but This is a shot that I prepared earlier . There is no need to register, I dragged the url onto my desktop and whenever I want to post a picture I click on the icon and it is really easy as it needs to be for me.

All I see is a white box with red cross.
But when you click on it, wow! Great shot.

I see your F-111 thumbnail on this page (using Internet Explorer 7 on WinXP) then the link works to the larger pic online. What is the story about this picture please? Thanks. Dave apparently you could use this hosting service for this bulletin board. See the info at this link: www.postimage.org/mod.php" Add image uploading to your forum. The Simple Image Upload mod enables image uploading on your forum. All images are stored on our fast and secure network so it won't take up any of your bandwith. Image uploading is very simple and your images will never be removed for inactivity. This mod is perfect solution for forums where visitors are not tech savvy and don't know how to upload image or don't know how to use ![]() bbcode." My test below: (how is the icon displayed?) www.postimage.org/image.php?v=aV8PM1A

I have a feeling you can not do it that way What I think needs to happen is thiswhich is what you posted. And the forum admin would need to do it. The Postimage icon then will appear on the post reply page

Well how did you get to do it is my question please. ;D If I understand your question correctly ,you want to know how I got the clickable thumbnail picture onto the board? When you open postimage and have uploaded the picture you get three options Forum BBCode: HTML: Direct link to image: if you copy the address shown in the -forum BBCode- then paste it onto the post reply page you will get the clickable thumbnail thus If you copy and paste- Direct link to Image- you get this www.postimage.org/image.php?v=Pq1IrXl9Which is how you posted the shot of the Skyhawk, (good shot by the way.) I went to Richmond that year 1988 I was still living in N.Z. then. I found the B52 to be the most memorable, that thing was menacing. Sorry. Was that your question?

Yes that was my question. Many thanks for that info. The code did not seem to work before due to a delay I realise now. So if I'm patient the code will work soon enough. Thanks again for your explanation and highlighting this new method - that is a great free feature.
